About this property

Welcome to Casa Pancha

Casa Pancha is a hybrid hotel and hostel located in the vibrant Colonia Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City. The property offers a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere with simple, unpretentious accommodations, including private pods that provide a good level of privacy for a hostel setting. Guests have praised the cleanliness and comfort of the beds, as well as thoughtful touches like individual fans and lockboxes in the rooms.

The property features an airy communal lounge and an on-site restaurant, Gaba Restaurante, known for its quality dining and positive reviews. While parking is complimentary, other amenities are limited—there is no pool, fitness center, or pet-friendly options, and the accommodations are not fully accessible. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast are included, making it a practical choice for travelers seeking basic conveniences.

Set on Avenida Mazatlan, Casa Pancha provides easy access to numerous cultural and outdoor attractions such as the Museo Nacional de Antropología, Chapultepec Castle, and the expansive Bosque de Chapultepec park—all highly rated and within reasonable reach. The dynamic local area offers murals, historical sites, and lively nightlife, making it suitable for visitors interested in exploring the city's cultural scene.

Guest reviews often mention the friendly and helpful staff, the welcoming community vibe, and the quiet, orderly environment despite the hostel format. Some notes include the compact nature of the pods and shared bathrooms located close to sleeping areas, which might not suit travelers seeking complete privacy. Overall, Casa Pancha appeals to solo travelers or small groups who value location and social spaces in a clean, straightforward setting.

I loved my stay at Casa Pancha. The staff was great. I loved that there was a WhatsApp group, although I didn't end up having time to be very social at the hostel. The bunk bed/pods...amazing. I slept so great and it felt so private. The beds were super comfy and the bedding was perfectly warm enough. Loved that tiny fans were provided. The lockbox was nice, too. Showers and bathrooms were nice and clear. Loved the dining space and included breakfast. Close to public transit. Would stay again!

I had an incredible, 4-day stay at La Casa Pancha. Right in the middle of La Condessa, you are in one of Mexico’s city’s most beautiful areas. Accommodations are incredibly clean. The beds are pods that provide an impressive sense of privacy for a hostel. The shared areas are beautiful and clean, providing excellent locations to work from. And lastly the staff are incredibly kind to all travellers. I really want to thank Lynn for her kindness and her recommendations. I would easily stay here again.

Beautiful common spaces excellent location and total vibe. Folks at the hostel are great and the all women’s dorm provided some instant friends and companions. Everything is kept clean and cleaned daily which was nice to see. Only cons would be rather stuffy bed cubbies (but they will provide a fan) and the bathroom is right next to your bed. In the ladies dorm it was 10 beds and 2 toilets and showers only a few feet away. I also wouldn’t be excited about the breakfast most days but it does vary in quality. They try to put together lots of activities which was nice and all the staff were warm and helpful. Would 100% stay here again!

I spent 5 wonderful days in Casa Pancha, I couldn’t have made a better choice in CDMX! I stayed at the 4 beds dorm and everything went great. The room is comfortable, the staff is helpful, the breakfast is made with good quality ingredients and there is a great community of travelers. Within walking distance from the hostel there are plenty of cafes and restaurants. I recommend Casa Pancha to anyone visiting CDMX.

Loved my stay at Casa Pancha! The staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and polite. Moreover, this is the nicest hostel I've ever seen in Latin America, and I've stayed at many. It was quiet, clean, and orderly. While the pillows are pretty flat and hurt my neck for the first few nights, the bed itself is very comfortable, and the blackout curtain creates a cozy personal space. Lastly, the location is good. Condesa lived up to its reputation as a calm, walkable greenspace with more restaurants and cafes than you could ever eat at. Altogether, a very nice place. I definitely recommend it and would stay again.

What a lovely space in a wonderful location! Shout-out to the Casa Pancha team from guest-facing volunteer to behind the scenes keeping all clean :: Adriana, Mia, Lyn, Lalo and Dani. The stairs are no joke - see how tall in photos. The bathrooms are also located inside the dorms themselves - do pack shower shoes! I was able to go out on Friday night with a group who organized via WhatsApp. Otherwise, it's a pretty chill hostel with quiet spaces for reading, working and even meditating (there are yoga mats available for borrow!).

As a hostel, Casa Pancha is fantastic! The dormitories are organised in such a way that each guest has their privacy. The rules are strict about keeping the space clean, and other guests were super quiet and respectful. Good breakfast is included. The communal spaces are very welcoming, and there is even a WhatsApp group for the guests to gather if they want to. Casa Pancha also organises trips and activities which seem great, but I didn’t have enough time to book any of it. Highly recommended!! Thank you Casa Pancha

This place was amazing! Cozy, clean, and in a great location. The space is beautiful, too. This place was the perfect place to stay as a solo traveler. Not only was I able to meet other travelers, but the hostel staff also went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Everyone working at the front desk is so friendly, and the volunteers working there were especially lovely. They helped me feel so welcome every morning at breakfast, and did a great job of organizing events for those who didn't have plans any given night. Definitely stay here - I know I'll be back!
